The best shawarmas you're going to find in the US! These are comparable to the shawarmas we used to get when we lived in Saudi Arabia. You have the choice of tortilla or pita bread, chicken or beef, and you can get the classic with lettuce, tomato and onion, or the original without. They all come with pomegranite sauce, garlic sauce, and pickles, and they're grilled. Very tasty! Hot sauce is too spicy, so bring your own. Soda cans are also available. Only problem is trying to order online because there is no descriptive menu online and I had to call to find out what was actually in the various shawarmas. Dining room is basic, but employees are all friendly.
No frills halal shawarma spot. Beef and chicken both solid. Beef was actually tender and juicy, not rubbery like some places. So if you like beef but are usually hesitant to get it, this is a good spot to get the beef shawarma. Shawarma meal (w/ fries and drink) is about $15. Fries were also good, and nicely seasoned, garlic sauce and tahini sauce both delicious. Overall great value, delicious, fresh, quickly prepared meal, and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and will return.
This place was recommended to me by a friend. I had never been here before, and I was unsure of what to get. The man behind the counter was very nice and helpful. Food was absolutely delicious, I got the classic chicken shawarma sandwich and it was amazing! For the price, it was a pretty good amount of food. The fries were delicious as well. Can’t wait to come back!
There are a few Shawarma places which I will drive 4 hours to reach, but this is one of them. Easy to find, in a good neighborhood flanked with residential and other worldly shopping opportunities, makes it a happy little corner of STL. We were greeted by cheerful fellas chopping fresh veggies next to chubby toddler sized cones of fresh meat happily spinning on a grill. The guy manning the counter grabbed samples of every single bread and sauce for us to make an educated decision as first-timers. We had the Arabic Shawarma in both chicken and beef. Both were phenomenal. They gave us additional sides and even more of their delicious sauces for dipping and enjoying. Super friendly staff and incredible food. Not much more needs to be said about this great place.
I go to this place regularly but only today I decided to leave a review. The place today was super busy on the weekend yet their quality is always consistent. A lot of places don’t produce the same quality on busy days. Their food has always been amazing. I have eaten shawarma in every place I have visited in the US and intentionally. Their shawarma is top quality. The meat shawarma is exceptionally delicious. Their Hummus, fries, rotisserie chicken are amazing. The staff is friendly, respectful and professional. One of the best restaurants I have ever visited. I applaud the owners for the top quality they deliver.
Absolutely love this place! We always order their appetite plates and their falafel is divine, crispy on the outside and fully cooked and soft on the inside (to other restaurants that serve falafel take note this is how a falafel should taste)!! And their pistachio baklava is out of the world!
Me and my friend ate here yesterday and it was so good! He's middle eastern and said this is the best shawarma he's had from anywhere around here yet. The place was busy so you know others agree! Everyone was friendly. Free water and hot tea! Definitely give this place a shot. The chicken was my favorite with the rice and sauces which were all amazing especially the tahini sauce, the tebbouleh salad was fresh and clean tasting, and the hummus was really good hummus! Loved all that we got though, you can't go wrong!
I can’t be fair complimenting this amazing restaurant. Their Beef shawarma is the best I ever tried in my life. I also tried their (Loaded Fries, Appetizer tray (hummus, baba ghanouj, mutabbal, tabbouleh, fatoush), chicken shawarma, and more). Everything I tried at their restaurant was so delicious and very tasty. I usually go there to eat with my hubby every couple of weeks and usually we make a big order and eat it the next day too haha. I used to recommend it to all of my friends but I just discovered that I haven’t post a review yet. Definitely recommend you to try it.
This place is LEGIT. Firstly, while most restaurants claim to treat you like family, Original Shawarma House does it. I have never been to a place where guests waiting for takeout are invited to enjoy not just water, but fresh coffee and tea of the highest quality. Phenomenal shawarma Arabi with the freshest meats off the spit. And I don’t know what they do to their fries the seasoning they use makes them a tier above the rest. I look forward to returning here.
I went to this place a few weeks ago for a dance performance! Went here before the performance, and it was awesome! I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was the best I ever had! 10/10 would go here again. I had some leftovers I ate later! Service was awesome and fast, and people were really nice!
